On behalf of the Asia Pacific Section of The Institute of Brewing and Distilling, we invite you to virtually attend the postponed 36th Convention to be held Tuesday, 23rd February and Wednesday, 24th February 2021.
The initial location for our 2020 Convention was Perth. The last time the Convention was held there was 1998 and although we can’t physically be in Perth for the 2021 Convention, we can bring the Convention to you. We now have the opportunity for all participants from every aspect of our industry to have access to come together not just within the Asia Pacific region but now globally.
The agenda for the two days includes extensive educational and informative sessions with well over 50 presenters from around the globe. The sessions will be a mixture of live, semi-live and on demand sessions including updates from the IBD, our Keynote speaker, panel discussions, interactive Q+A and direct contact with our exhibitors and sponsors and much more.
Convention Chair Sean Symons, explains what delegates can expect when they sign up to visit the virtual convention:
“The new virtual format delivers an impressive line-up of speakers, in a virtual environment that is much more than a traditional online presentation. There’s no doubt it will be different, but it will also be educational, exciting and a lot of fun, with a flavour of Perth to honour the original convention location.
When we made the decision to create a virtual convention, we knew it had to be awesome and be able to engage our delegates and sponsors in a way that was as good as a physical event.
The IBD AP Virtual convention is just that – an online world where, when you come in through the doors of the Convention Centre in Perth, you can select a virtual space to visit that gives you entry to either the presentations, the sponsors expo or the networking lounge. It will be a rich experience for delegates and we’re looking forward to welcome the brewing and distilling community to join us online in February.”
This event epitomizes this year’s theme of The Power of Connectivity where anyone from around the world can attend from their living room.
We look forward to seeing you online!
